Every human being is blessed with time, knowledge, and the ability to choose how to live. One of the most honorable choices we can make is to either teach what is good or learn what is good. These two roles are the foundation of a meaningful life, and both are beloved to Allah.

The Value of Teaching🌿

Teaching does not only mean standing in front of a class. A teacher is anyone who shares goodness—whether it is reminding someone to pray, encouraging patience during hardship, or guiding others with wisdom and kindness. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

This hadith shows that the highest honor lies in spreading beneficial knowledge. The reward of a teacher continues even after their life, as every person who benefits from their knowledge becomes a part of their legacy.

The Value of Learning🌿

Equally important is the role of the learner. Allah commands us in the Qur’an:

“And say, ‘My Lord, increase me in knowledge.’” (Surah Taha 20:114)

Seeking knowledge is a form of worship. A learner is humble, willing to grow, and prepared to one day teach others. Without learning, a person remains in ignorance, but with learning, they open the doors to wisdom, success, and guidance.

The Prophet ﷺ also warned against neglecting knowledge. He said:

“Be a scholar, or a learner, or a listener, or a lover of knowledge, and do not be the fifth, lest you perish.” (Reported in Bayhaqi)

This means every believer should remain connected to knowledge in one way or another.

Practical Steps for Daily Life

To live by this principle, we can take simple steps:

🌈As a Teacher – Share what you now with sincerity. Teach your children, your friends, or even your community. Even a kind reminder is a form of teaching.

🌈As a Learner – Dedicate time to read, listen, and study. Learn the Qur’an, Hadith, and beneficial knowledge. Ask questions and seek wisdom.

🌈Imams and scholars across Islamic history have strongly emphasized the value of teaching good things—whether knowledge, manners, or acts of worship✨🎀

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” (Bukhari)

He ﷺ also said: “Whoever guides someone to goodness will have a reward like one who did it.” (Muslim).

🌿Views of Imams

Imam Abu Hanifa – Held that teaching beneficial knowledge is a form of sadaqah jāriyah (continuous charity).

Imam Malik – Emphasized spreading knowledge with sincerity, warning that knowledge without teaching is like a hidden treasure.

Imam Shafi‘i – Said, “Knowledge is not what is memorized, but what benefits.” Thus, teaching good is essential.

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal – Considered teaching knowledge one of the greatest acts of worship if done with correct intention.

This World is Just Fun and Games Nothing else.💥🌈

 

We often hear people say that life is short, yet we live as if we will stay here forever. The world is filled with colors, attractions, entertainment, and pleasures that pull the human heart in many directions. It is true that this world offers joy, laughter, friendship, and comfort, but it is also true that these things are temporary. It is like a playground, where a child plays for a while, but eventually, the time comes when the playground must be left behind. In the same way, this world is just fun and games, while the real life awaits us in the Hereafter.

Islam reminds us again and again that this worldly life is short. Allah says in the Qur’an:
“This worldly life is nothing but play and amusement.” — Quran.
This means that the happiness we feel here is not permanent, and the sadness we experience is also not permanent. Everything changes. People grow, seasons change, loved ones come and go, wealth increases and decreases, and health rises and falls. Nothing remains forever in this world. So, how can a place that constantly changes be our true home?

The true home is the Hereafter, where life does not end. In Paradise, there is no sadness, no pain, no goodbyes, and no fear of losing what we love. Every smile is forever, and every joy is complete. But in order to reach that eternal happiness, we must not become lost in the temporary distractions of this world. When a person only follows entertainment, luxury, and desire, they forget why they were created. Allah sent us here with a purpose: to worship Him, to be humble, to be kind, to do good, and to prepare for the eternal journey.

This does not mean we should not enjoy life. Islam does not tell us to be sad or to avoid happiness. Islam teaches us balance. We can laugh, eat, dress nicely, spend time with loved ones, and enjoy the blessings Allah has given. But we must not allow these pleasures to make us forget Allah. Like a traveler who rests under a tree for a short time and then continues their journey, we should enjoy life without becoming attached to it.

When we remember the purpose of life, our behavior changes. We start valuing worship, prayer, charity, and good character. We become patient in difficult times, knowing that tests are temporary. We become grateful in happy times, knowing that blessings are gifts from Allah. And most importantly, we become hopeful, because we know that something better is waiting for us—something eternal.

In the end, this world is not our final stop. It is the beginning of a beautiful journey toward a place where our souls will find true peace. Let us enjoy the world, but not forget our destination. Let us smile, but also remember to bow our heads in prayer. Let us walk in this world, but keep our hearts connected to the Hereafter.

Because the world may be fun and games—but Paradise is forever. 🌿

1. The World Compared to the Hereafter

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.”
— Hatheeth.

Meaning:
Believers are patient here, saving their joy for Jannah.
Disbelievers enjoy now, but have no share in the next life if they reject Allah.

2. Value of the World in the Sight of Allah

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“If this world were worth even the wing of a mosquito to Allah, He would not give a disbeliever a drink of water from it.”
 — Hatheeth.

Meaning:
This world is so small to Allah that even unbelievers receive from it, because it has no true value compared to the next life.

3. The Reality of Life

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Be in this world as a stranger or a traveler passing by.”
— Hatheeth.

Meaning:
Do not attach your heart too deeply to this world.
You are only passing through.

4. The Purpose of Life

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The son of Adam will not move on the Day of Judgment until he is asked about his life and how he spent it…”
— Hatheeth.

Meaning:
We must use our life wisely, because every moment is recorded.

5. Simple Living of the Prophet ﷺ

’Ā’ishah (رضي الله عنها) said:

The Prophet ﷺ used to sleep on a mat that left marks on his back.
When she requested a softer bed, he replied:
“What have I to do with the world? I am like a traveler who rests under a tree, then leaves it.”

Meaning:
This life is only a stop, not the destination.

6. The Real Life

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“And surely, the Hereafter is the real life, if only they knew.”
— Qur’an

The World is but a Playground

This world sparkles like a jewel in sunlight—
beautiful, shining, calling us closer.
It laughs with us, dances with us,
and sings melodies that soothe the wandering heart.
Yet, beneath its glittering surface,
everything is temporary, everything is fading.

The world is a playground.

Children laugh, run, fall, rise, and laugh again.
Their hands clutch toys like treasures—
but only until the call comes:
It is time to go home.
And the playground becomes quiet.

So too, we hold onto our joys and our dreams,
our wealth, our beauty, our homes,
as if they will live with us forever.
But the call will come—
softly, quietly, or suddenly—
and we will leave everything behind.

Allah tells us:
“This worldly life is only play and amusement.”
And how clear the truth is—
the world makes us forget,
then reminds us,
then forgets again.

One day we are laughing under a bright sky;
the next day, tears fall like hidden rain.
One day our hearts feel light as the morning breeze;
the next day, we carry mountains of sorrow.
Nothing stays.
Nothing remains.

What is eternal, then?
Not the sand we play upon,
not the shadows that pass like clouds across our days.

The eternal is the soul,
the longing within us that whispers:
I am not from here.
I am just passing through.

Paradise is our home—
where no tears will fall,
where laughter does not break,
where love does not disappear,
where peace is not borrowed for a moment,
but lives forever in the heart.

This world is like a traveler’s rest—
a moment beneath a tree,
a sip of water from a gentle stream,
a pause before the journey continues.
We sit, we breathe, we savor,
but we do not settle.

We walk with one foot on earth
and one heart tied to the heavens.
We smile in this world—
but our hope rises toward the next.

So let us live gently,
love sincerely,
worship softly and deeply,
and keep our eyes fixed on the horizon of eternity.

For this world is fun and games—
a passing dream, a temporary song.
But Jannah—
Jannah is forever.
And the soul knows the way home. 🌈💥

This world is only temporary enjoyment, while the Hereafter is eternal.

Or:

This life may seem like fun and games, but the real and lasting life is in the Hereafter.

In Arabic, the Qur’an expresses this idea:

إِنَّمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ “The worldly life is nothing but play and amusement.” (Qur’an)

The world can be enjoyable, but we must not become lost in it.
We enjoy life, but we prepare for the next life, because that one is forever.💥🌈
